Thank you for your interest in volunteering at The Refuge Clinic!

To begin the volunteer process, we ask everyone to complete a confidential Online Volunteer Application. This application process will help us better understand why you want to serve, in which areas you’re interested in serving, and help us get to know you a little better.

The application will require you to provide some confidential information, but please know that any information you submit will remain confidential and will be disclosed only to those individuals needing to know in order to carry out their responsibilities for Refuge Clinic, or as required by law. In addition, all of your answers are submitted securely using SSL (you can learn more about the security of SSL here.)

Before you begin the application process, however, make sure that you have read our Volunteer Expectations listed below.

If you have read and agree with our Volunteer Expectations, please take a few minutes to complete the online application linked below.

Please have the following items available before beginning the application process:
• Professional License Number
• Driver’s License
• Social Security Number

We currently have volunteer opportunities in Medical, Dental, Administrative, Prayer and Patient Advocate positions.

Medical Volunteers: Use your medical expertise (Doctors, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Assistants, etc.) to serve the community by volunteering to provide quality health care in a primary care setting to our patients.

Dental Volunteers: Dentists, Oral Surgeons, Dental Hygienists and Dental Assistants all work together in our dental facility to provide cleanings, fillings and extractions to our patients.

Spiritual Care Volunteers: If you are relational and love to encourage others, we need you! Volunteers in this area will have the opportunity to build relationships with our patients through prayer, conversation and encouragement. This can take place through a conversation in the waiting room, driving a patient to an appointment (in a Refuge vehicle), or offering prayer or encouragement to a patient who is hurting.

Administrative Volunteers: If you are gifted in administration and clerical skills, help us greet and register patients upon their arrival and contact patients to make appointments.

Patient Advocate Volunteers: Navigate referrals made by our providers on behalf of the patient through scheduling appointments, assist patients with the necessary paperwork, communicate details, etc.

If you have any questions regarding volunteering or the volunteer process, please contact Ellen.
