It takes a lot of help from volunteers and community partners to keep the Refuge Clinic successfully serving patients in Lexington and Jessamine County.  We are extremely grateful for all of our volunteers and community partners and while we cannot possibly thank them all individually, we’d like to regularly highlight a few at a time.

First, thank you to all of the volunteers who give countless hours to serving our patients.  Regardless of if you are diagnosing patients, fixing teeth, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, making phone calls, or sweeping floors, you MATTER to us and we are truly grateful!

We’d like to thank Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky in Georgetown for giving us a $4,000 grant to assist with upgrading our digital x-ray system for our dental clinic.

Many Refuge Clinic patients have transportation challenges that keep them from being able to keep important appointments.  We are pleased to partner with Mr. Taxi to provide transportation to and from referral appointments several times per month.  Mr. Taxi has 55 taxis in the fleet with 24/7 dispatch service, GPS, and trip fare calculator on the web site at www.mrtaxi.com. Discounts are offered to seniors, military and U.K. employees and students.   Drivers are CPR trained, punctual, courteous and reliable. Their commitment is to excellent customer service, and they are pleased to serve our community by partnering with the Refuge Clinic.
